Earlier this week, I returned from a coast to coast trip (NYC to LA) to visit fellow Dd-er, Meghan. Besides getting to be in West Coast sunshine and spending time with Meghan, the best thing about this trip was that it cost me practically nothing. No joke!

For all the times Delta Airlines has screwed up, they came through for me this time. I redeemed a travel voucher, given to me for volunteering my seat on a flight back from Denver. Free plane ticket . . . check! I used skymiles to rent a car the first several days. Free transportation . . . check! With my skymiles credit card, I don’t have to pay for a checked bag. Free luggage . . . check!

In LA, I found lots of free or affordable parking, food, and shopping. In fact, Meghan and I hit up the JetRag Yard Sale and the Melrose Trading Place – I spent less than $20 on a sweat shirt, a t shirt, a button up shirt, a sweater, and a pair of pants. I feel like I should be on a Travel Network show . . . Steph’s Budget Travel.

We also got to meet another Dd lady, our very own crafter extraordinaire Heather! Here’s a few photos to peruse.
