How To: Handknit Coffee Warmer
If you are snowed in, or bored post Christmas flurry, cast on and quickly knit yourself a coffee warmer.
It is super quick and only takes a small amount of yarn (good for any waste yarn after a project):
1. Cast on 14 stitches.
2. To create this large basket weave block pattern:
Row 1. Slip the first stitch, knit 6, purl 7.
Row 2. Slip first stitch, purl 6, knit 7.
Rows 3-26. Repeat alternating Rows 1 and 2.
Row 27. Repeat Row 2.
Row 28. Repeat Row 1.
Rows 29-52. Repeat alternating Rows 2 and 1.
3. Cast off and stitch up side seam with loose thread.
4. Optional: Using a crochet hook, single crochet around the top and bottom edges.
Put it on your wrist in the morning so you remember it when you pick up your morning coffee;-)
