The holidays are on their way. . . This will be my first holiday season in the city.

My sister is in town all week for Thanksgiving, so we are playing ‘tourist.’ I lost my mind a little bit yesterday due to the crowds at the Empire State Building and around Macy’s on 34th St. Yet, at the same time, I can’t help but to marvel at how the city lights up at night, covered with holiday glitz.

We are checking off our to do list day by day. From a Broadway show, to Ground Zero, the Statue of Liberty, Chelsea Market, Central Park, HiLine Park, and H & H bagels, we are cramming a lot in over this short amount of time. It feels like I’ve embarked on some sort of marathon.

A sure sign that the holidays are on their way; the Starbucks's red cups are out.
