Here are Candice’s picks for this week

1. Afternoon of a Faun, a new film by Nancy Buirski. This incandescent film takes on the tragic mythology of Tanaquil Le Clercq, the famous muse of both Balanchine and Robbins, who contracted polio on tour and found herself in an iron lung. Her spirit resounds through interviews, love letters, and amazing archival footage.

Film Society of Lincoln Center
Through Thurs 2/20.

2. Jessica Lang Dance at the Joyce Theater. After an impressive showing in August at Ballet v6.0, the company returns with a program including 3 New York premieres!
