A friend of mine works for Invisible Children and got me one of these really cool bracelets from their Bracelet Campaign which provides employment to Internally Displaced Persons in Uganda.

“For 23 years, a rebel group called the Lords Resistance Army terrorized Northern Uganda, causing massive displacement, abducting thousands of innocent children and forcing them to become child soldiers. The LRA was recently forced out of Uganda, but is now causing large-scale death and destruction in three surrounding countries. What started out as a small rebel movement has evolved into one of the longest, most violent conflicts on the continent.”

I’m going to a screening of their documentary, “Face to Face” tonight!
